The Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH) consists of the Emergency Psychiatry Team (EPT) and the Emergency Psychiatry Assessment Unit (EPAU). COAST (Crisis Outreach and Support Team) is a program supported by St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton that provides emergency mental health and addiction services to members of the Hamilton community. As a leader in mental health and addiction COAST works with a multidisciplinary team, including child and youth crisis workers, mental health workers, social workers and police officers, to help individuals overcome mental health crises.
